My entry for the Fairy Fun Fridays challenge blog...

Hi everyone,

I thought I would enter my first Fairy Fun Fridays challenge blog today!  Head over and join in as there are some free digi images up for grabs if your the winners and they are all gorgeous!

Anyway, I had to make my good friend Gita a Birthday card as it's on the 2nd of April and I thought to myself, why not do an easel card!?  I love them.  They are so fun and so easy to make.  Plus they are really affective I think!

Unfortunately, you can't see from the photo that the writing is in metallic pink!  It looks groovy!!  I used the good old Hot Foil Print Wizard ;o)  Love that tool! In case you are wondering where the papers are from that I used, they were freebies from last months Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine.  They always have beautiful papers as freebies.  I used my brand new Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim Double-Edge Punch too! And the butterflies are made with her punch and clear stamps too!

Hope you all like my easel card, I am pleased with the end result anyway!

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Tilda Notebooks and Easter Cards for Calladoodles..!

Well as some of you may know, this month I started selling my cards and notebooks at a new handmade gifts shop in Carshalton, Surrey called Calladoodles.  If you live near, go take a look!  The Website is currently under construction, but you can at least see what the shop looks like here! Clare has done it up beautifully and I was lucky enough to go to the launch on the 6th March and the place was packed!!  I'm sure it's going to be very successful.

Clare asked for some notebooks and Easter cards for the latest order which I spent all last week making, so here are some of the results for you all to see! I hope you like them, and I hope they sell well so Clare asks for more! haha

I always find male cards tricky, but I think these turned out well.....!  The Hot Foil Print Wizard came in handy on a couple of these cards too!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, the weather was beautiful here in Bedfordshire!

My first Easel Card!

Hi everyone,

Well, this is my first attempt at an Easel Card.  I absolutely loved making it.  It was such fun!!

It's my little brothers 21st Birthday on Saturday, and my Mum asked me to make a special card for her to give to him, so I thought this would be perfect!  I love it so much though that I want to give it to him instead! haha

If you have never given this style of card a go, you really must!! Here are some instructions for you to follow (I hope they make sense!):

1) Get yourself a nice square card and cut yourself a square out of some card to make your easel.
2) Fold one side of the square card in half so you have a mountain fold.
3) Stick some double sided tape on the front of the mountain fold so you can attach the square you have cut out.
4) Decorate!!!
5) Make sure you put a Gromet or similar in the middle of the base of the card so it supports the easel.

If that doesn't make sense, there are plenty of videos on youtube to watch and be inspired by! :o)

Anyway, bedtime for me!

Thanks for popping by.

Bumblebee Transformer Card for little Jack!

Hi all!

I hope you all have had a wonderful week so far?  I cannot believe it is the middle of the week already!

I was asked by a friend of mine to make a Bumblebee Tranformer Birthday Card for her 5 year old son, Jack.  It was a mighty task!!  She had seen a few of my cartoon cards on Facebook and liked the idea of them so asked me, and I was so pleased!

After trawling through masses of unsuitable decoupageable pictures on Google Images, I finally found this one I have used on Jacks card.

I hope you all like it.  It took me a good afternoon to put it all together.  My poor little fingers are a bit sore now after squeezing them into the decoupage scissor handles for the best part of 2 hours! LOL
