Morning everyone!
Hope you have all had a fab weekend! As it was my Birthday weekend, I had friends over! We went to the lovely ASK Italian restaurant in town for dinner on Saturday, and on Sunday we had a BBQ!! I am also heading off to my Mums soon for another BBQ as it's actually my Birthday today.....I am a quarter of a century already! Time flies! This time next year I'm going to be Mrs Whitby-Lee!!! How exciting!
Anyway, moving on to this weeks challenge over at
Pear Tree Designs Challenge Blog. We are on challenge #6 now, can't believe it's gone so quick.....a bit like this year! You have until next Sunday to post your entries and the lucky winner will receive 3 x digital stamps of your choice from
Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps, who are proud to sponsor this challenge and will be sponsoring us the last Monday of each month from now on! Their store offers a variety of images for all occasions.
For challenge #6 the theme is Summer loving! So basically, make a card to do with summer! I had real fun with this one this week, as we have had such a lovely sunny week, it's really got me in the crafty mood. What also helped was that I cleared my craft room up, as it was a total mess and was making crafting a bit difficult.....yes, it was that bad!!!!!
So here is my Gate Fold card.....never been tried before and I am very pleased with the result!
I needed to make a 25th Birthday card for my lovely friend, Heather who I saw this weekend as it's her Birthday soon too, so I thought i'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone, so to speak!
As you can see, I have used last years Summer Magnolia stamp, Tilda sitting in a rubber ring. I haven't used this image much, and I don't know why really as it's lovely. Really gives off the summery feeling doesn't it? I used ProMarkers to colour the image in, as always! I also got to use my brand new Martha Stewart Around the Edge Floral Punch too!! I LOVE MS Punches, they are just wonderful! The lettering was cut out using my Craft Robo (about the only thing I can do on the machine, haha) and the cute flowers I believe were a freebie from Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine a few months back....thank you very much QCME!
I have also decided to enter my card into a few other challenges, these are as follow:
